Round Two, Week Ten

Ten weeks down, five to go in the Baby A2 Name Tournament 2011! It will be a quick 7ish weeks until the arrival of the newest Anderson, and we are just trying to enjoy the ride.

Time to see who else makes up our Sweet Sixteen!

Anderson's Choice - Boys
#1 Colby vs. #8 Miles
Winner: Colby

Once again, the #1 seed moves on! Early on, Keith kept confusing "Miles" with "Niles" (like, from Frasier). Although he was able to get past that, I don't know that the name ever really stuck for either one of us. So Colby it is!

Other's Choice - Boys
#2 Cole vs. #10 Xavier
Winner: Cole

Last round, the birth of our friends' baby, Luke, allowed Xavier the opportunity to advance. Unfortunately, it can't get past our #2 seed in this round. Cole easily takes Xavier, and advances to the Sweet Sixteen. 

Anderson's Choice - Girls
#5 Paige vs. #4 Claire
Winner: Claire 

This was by far the most difficult game played so far in this tournament. Despite our original seeding of these at 4 and 5, we both really started to love both of these names. One of the downsides of deciding on names this way is this situation, where two potential winners go head-to-head early on. But, we are committed and can't turn back. Claire moves on to the Sweet Sixteen.   

Other's Choice - Girls
#6 Hailey vs. #14 Abigail
Winner: Hailey

Keeping with the apparent theme this week, the winner of a 1st round upset is defeated in the 2nd round. Our 14 seed, Abigail, got past 3 seed Mia. But 6 seed Hailey is making a run, and Abigail has to pack her bags and head on home.
