Anderson's Choice - Boys
#2 Gabriel/Gabe vs #15 Wesley
Winner: Gabriel/Gabe
This seemingly easy matchup turned out to be not so easy, taking us until Sunday night to reach a conclusion on. Gabe was certainly the favorite going into the tournament, but Wesley had appeal (at least for Tracy). Maybe it's the Princess Bride....or the Bachelor....Regardless, he is knocked out early in the first round, leaving Gabe to take on the winner of Kade/Carter in round 2.
Other's Choice - Boys
#4 Benjamin vs. #13 Joshua
Winner: Benjamin
Two classic biblical names went head to head this week, but only one could survive. No upset this time around....Tracy's negative association with Joshua (she was a sub in a Kindergarten class...pausing until you are done laughing....and Joshua was her "trouble child" that routinely spit in her face and f-bombed her) was too strong. Ben moves on!
Anderson's Choice - Girls
#7 Kenna vs #10 Mikela
Winner: Kenna
Both uncommon names (which we like), Kenna and Mikela definitely had the unique factor playing in their favor. Kenna is somewhat of a family name, which played a small factor. Mikela just doesn't "feel right" for this baby (don't know how else to explain it) and so Kenna will take on the winner of Lily/Skyler in round 2.
Other's Choice - Girls
#3 Mia vs #14 Abigail
Winner: Abigail
What? An upset? No way! Abigail has always been a favorite of Keith's, and despite Tracy's resistance (and the fact that it was Mother's Day and Keith should have given in), she moves on to Round 2. If it seems as though Keith is bullying his way through this process, worry not friends, Tracy's simply saving her "I gave you....." argument for the later, and more important, rounds.
