Round One, Week Three

Spring has sprung (well, kinda). We visited PA and NJ for a quick visit this weekend and wore short sleeves. That's close enough right? New life was blooming...we saw actual flowers, and leaves on trees. This week also saw some new life in much better places...some of our closest friends welcomed their firsts into the world. Congratulations to Matt and Ali York on the birth of their son, Luke; and to Tim and Jess McCracken on the arrival of baby Emily. Welcome, little ones!

With about 3 1/2 months until our peanut makes an entrance into the craziness of our lives, the name-game continues!

Now let's break down the games:

Anderson's Choice - Boys
#3 Wyatt vs. #14 Brian
Winner: Wyatt

We had a conversation a while back about not being able to see Chase as anything but a "Chase." Tracy's comment was that she could see him being a Brian. So, Brian made it on this bracket as a 14 seed. It's certainly more conventional than Wyatt....but since when are we conventional? Wyatt moves on to take on Micah in Round 2!

Other's Choice - Boys
#6 Parker vs. #11 Brooks
Winner: Parker

Brooks has a certain ring to it that we like...a little rustic, definitely manly. Parker has the same "feeling" as Chase, wehich we like for introducing the two together. This was one of our harder choices this week, but Parker comes out on top! 

Anderson's Choice - Girls
#03 Chloe vs #14 Lydia
Winner: Chloe

Tracy's mourning this 14 seed loss a bit. The name Lydia has been a favorite since a childhood obsession with Wynona Rider in "Beetlejuice." (This shouldn't be earth shattering to many of you). But 3 seed Chloe has a strong pull, and this senora is shaken right out of the tourney. She is alone. She is utterly alone. (Ok, done with the weird Beetlejuice quotes.)

Other's Choice - Girls
#8 Brookelyn vs. #9 Cooper
Winner: Brookelyn

Submitted primarily as a joke, Cooper (Anderson Cooper...get it?) actually made a 9 seed in this Baby A2 Name Tournament. A good name, it gave Brookelyn a run for her money. But in the end, New York, New York won out and will move on to Round 2.
