Sweet Sixteen, Week Thirteen

Happy Fourth of July, family and friends. We weren't able to make our annual trip to NJ/PA this year due to the impending arrival of Baby A2 (I mean, really, who in their right mind wants to be trapped in a car for 4+ hours with a 90 lb lab, 2 1/2 year old, and 8 month pregnant woman?). But, we had a busy weekend with friends, and were able to relax and enjoy today! Well, relax aside from all of the Baby Bracket talk....man, this is getting difficult!

Anderson's Choice - Boys
#1 Colby vs. #12 Levi
Winner: Colby

Well, looks like our cinderella story has come to an end. After an impressive streak, 12 seed Levi can't hang with our number 1 seed Colby in a surprisingly close game (Keith was holding on until the very end). Colby will take on the winner of Wyatt and Carter in the next round.

Other's Choice - Boys
#2 Cole vs. #3 Noah
Winner: Cole

Another biblical name that made a run goes down this week to a more modern choice. Chase watched a sing-a-long show this morning about Noah's ark, but even this couldn't get our 3 seed forward today. Maybe it's because one of the songs actually included the lyric "he builded the ark." Really?

Anderson's Choice - Girls
#2 Lily vs. #3 Chloe
Winner: Lily

Just when it was looking like a "C-name sweep" this week, Lily steps in and wins at the buzzer.  This 2-3 matchup was tough, but Lily managed to pull it out (Tracy was holding on until the very end on this one). Lily advances to the Elite Eight!

Other's Choice - Girls
#1 Charlotte vs. #4 Olivia

Winner: Charlotte

Once again overcoming the adversity of so many people disliking her (get on board, people), our number one seed Charlotte glides past Olivia and into the next round. For the record, Chase picked Olivia this morning, making the game just a little closer because of how stinking cute he sounds saying it. But, like all things, that too will pass, and so couldn't be taken into consideration in such a big game. Charlotte moves on!
